SPRING HILL - A 14-year-old boy
was treated at Oak Hill Hospital
Thursday when the family dog bit his
ear.
Authorities arrived at the hospital
about 4 p.m. and spoke to John Dixon,
who told deputies his son, Patrick, 14,
had been bitten on the right earlobe by
the family's hound dog that weighs
about 55 pounds.
Patrick Dixon told authorities the dog
was carrying a dead stray kitten in its
mouth and when Patrick grabbed the dog
and removed the kitten, the dog bit
him. The boy received eight stitches
in his right ear lobe. A copy of the
report was forwarded to Hernando County
Animal Services, authorities said.
